304 with a T5 trans

I have an 83 CJ7 with the T5 transmission and i am going to put in a AMC 304 V8, I am wondering if the T5 Transmission will hold up to the V8?

short answer : no
long answer :depends on you. if you give it everything the engine can give it - even a stock engine - than it will fail. i wouldnt trust it.
