304 Muffler Opinions

Anyone with suggestions for round turbo flow mufflers?
I am dumping the glass packs and it looks like my options are limited. With the packs I am exhausting in front of rear tires and am not going to change that. I know many recommend out the back but its a personal choice for me. I have zero issues with my exhaust location. The downside is as stated above, limited choice on mufflers. I still want loud but not the popping from the glass packs.

I am leaning toward Magnaflow 13645 but could be swayed for a lower cost turbo muffler if it will fit in behind my original side steps.

Thanks

I just put these on my sbc powered cj5. The glasspacks were too loud and not the right sound. Sounded more like doc hudson than lightning mcqueen. I do terminate out the back. The idle to 1800 rpm is a nice crisp sound and the drone is gone! I would say these are midway between stock and glasspacks as far as volume. However I am not sure what they would sound like dumped in front of the axle. I have another four feet of tube to hush them than yours.

I know exactly what you mean. Years ago in my youth I had somewhat of a hot rod truck. I ran mini turbos on it. I have yet to find them today. I went with purple hornies on my Jeep. They are really loud. I would say a notch below open headers. They don't have the "pop" of a glass pack. Just a nice rumble. They are side pipes and I thought priced ok. Hope that helps.

Looks like CB Extremes are not offered in round and will not fit my application.

Mr. Wonderful73, how do steel packs compare in sound to turbo's or glass packs?

Just wanted to follow up with what I went with. I put the XL Magna Flow's on. They came satin stainless finished but I went ahead and polished them out for a brighter shine. I am really pleased with the sound. It sounds so good at idle showing off the mild cam more than the glass packs but is much quieter during acceleration.
The welds are not as slick as I would like so I'm going to grind them down and re-weld them.
