She looks amazing,
timing wise: 10 is stock...you could start at 12...test drive....go to 14...test drive....you could even try 16,
you could also drop the fuel pressure a little to 34 or 36...stock is about 38-40.
you could get a chip...I hear they pretty much just up the timing and adjust the fuel pressure.
I keep mine right a stock settings....I love the fact that my rig just always works...turn the key and go.

Thanks, I have it at almost 14*, when I was at 10*, it would pop and hesitate on acceleration, so I advanced it and the popping went away and it has more power. Every now and again, I'll still get a pop out of the cold air intake when you get on it..do you think the timing could use a little more advancing as long as there is no pinging? Thx

I need a lower radiator hose for my 302 in my cj, I am adding power steering and the steering pump belt is in the way of the radiator hose. There is about 5". Between the radiator pipe and the steering pump.. I have found a few part numbers online but the pictures from autozone.com dont look like they will clear the belt. Can any one help me with this?

Rob,
I would check out the TPS and or EGR valve/ sensor...their is a lot of write ups regarding this....it should run good with stock timing,
and possible better with advanced timing,
I replaced a lot of sensors to begin with.
Petey...your running a v belt....I run a serpentine belt so I could only suggest you check with the older 5.0 (classic mustang sites) for an appropriate lower hose.

Thanks MV, I will check into the TPS because I don't know how old it is. I eliminated all the EGR stuff. I took the Jeep for an alignment at OK4WD out by me. They had a lot of cool Jeeps while I was there.

Thanks Mike, your build was a big help and inspiration for me to get it done. I'm going to have to throw the hard top & full doors on it soon if I want to drive it much more this fall and part of the winter b/c it has cooled down a bit here lately. I'm so glad I did the Blazer blower upg b/c without it I would have froze my azz off driving to that show last weekend. Even with just the half doors and bikini the heat really helped.

Put the full doors on and door panels. Need some door pull handles in nutmeg. Next week I'll get the hard top on.
