3" Muffler Help?.

I got a NEW 3" turbo muffler for free! Can I use this on my Jeep? Will I lose too much backflow?
AMC 258 Stock exhaust.

Free is a good price put if it will hinder performance or hurt the motor then I wont do it.

Thanks for the advise.

You'll be fine. How will it hurt the engine?

Well on another forum someone posted this:

"3words... NOT...ENOUGH...BACKPRESSURE
You will LOSE power
It wont sound good, ever heard gas trucks with stacks? sounds like crap!
You will LOSE torque
You will LOSE mpg
It will be a ***** to start, even with fuel injection
Theres a good chance of burning your exhaust valves from not enough backpressure"

I am also not running a CAT. I just dont want to do any damage. I dont have money for a muffler so free is a good deal.
Thanks

Come on think about it. It's just that it has 3" in and out instead of maybe 2.25 or 2.5. Muffler size is the same. Your not changing all the exhaust over to 3".
