258/232 interchange?
So, I'm swapping a 232 for a 258 in my 77 CJ7. Based on engine codes, the 232 was manufactured sometime around August 1974 and the 258 was manufactured around May 1978. The 258 came from an automatic transmission Wagoneer so it doesn't have a flywheel. I want to swap the flywheel and the harmonic balancer from the 232 to the 258. Anybody know if this will work?
