2 cj3b's found!!!

2 cj3b's found!!! UPDATE...PIC"S UP on page 2
Let's first start by saying i'm a cj7 owner not a cj3b owner yet. I have the opportunity to buy 2 cj3b's 1st 1953 2nd 1958 both were acquired and sitting for the last 18 yr's with the owner intending on resto projects, he did drive the 53 home..18 yrs ago. The bad.. RUST on both, motors shot and numerous other parts questionable. The good.. 58 body salvageable w/ original instrument cluster and O.k tub. Lots of xtra parts to go with these.
My question of coarse....With the limited info i've given are these Jeeps worth anything? yes they are the high hood models.
I will have to make a decision tonight...sorry for the short notice and lack of info. If purchased i will take lot's of pic's for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks
NV4500

Buy them. If it turns out you don't want them, resell them. Then you don't have to say "if I had only bought those Jeeps...."

If i were to keep and rebuild them they would be for N.GA trail riding or converted into rock crawlers....haven't thought that far though, still thinking of where to put them if i buy them.

3B's are ugly, cut em up and make a crawler.

If you can get them for the right price and have the space sounds like a good project to rip them apart, keep one set of good parts and sell the rest or send for recycling. Period Jeeps are good projects as they are easy to work on, good spares availability and lots of mods you can do.

X2. 82JeepCJ7, I agree with you that they aren't the best looking Jeep made IMHO but I still couldn't chop em.

Not with big enough tires AND a WARN overdrive. I can get up to 75 on the freeway with 32s, despite the 4.27 gears. http://www.jeepforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

My 2a is my daily driver. All pretty much stock, 5.38 gears, stock size tires (28"?) and stock 3 speed with saturn overdrive. If you don't need to drive on a freeway, it's just fine. I can cruise at 50

Quick update ...I am now the owner of 2 cj3b's. I know i promised pic's tonight but i just got home from my shop on a deadline project, but will be picking them up by thursday. Recovery, loading, unloading and detailed pics to come. I need your assistance on these so i'll be posting regularly to figure out exactly what i have gotten myself into.
Thanks for the responses so far....at this point any advice is GOOD in my opinion.
