1982 Jamboree

Well fellow Jeep lovers, here is a true survivor. No. 211 Jamboree that is not destroyed, not rusty, only slightly modified with lift and rhino liner. It has the orginal paint (rubbed out pretty good), aftermarket seats and real straight body. It runs and drives great and just feels good overall.

It sat outside just as you see it for 7 years, this friend calls me and says he has this old Jeep he wants to sell, thinks its rare and it wont start, would I look at it and see what I could do. Long story short, new starter, new battery, fresh gas and bam, off and running. 24 hours later this is how she looks, not bad.

Question is, does the fact its a Jamboree add any value, and what do you think shes worth.

Thanks.

A quick google lead me here.

The Jambo Registry

The Jambo Registry gives great info about this model but really dosnt touch on values. It is a great resource however, thanks.

If it had original seats, front brush guard, am/fm/cb radio, unmolested dash that wasn't cut for a DIN radio replacement, then yes it would be worth something more then the average CJ. The #0211 plague IMHO is the only thing worth the extra features that the Jeep might have. Rhino lining the interior and dash certainly does not add value to the Jeep Jamboree.

I'd have to agree with this as well.

I also agree with this assesment, unless it is a garged collectable :confused:they seem to loose collectable value. But the jeep is cool as hell and the limited addition does make interesting.

So whats a real nice survivor worth if the Jambo is out?

Damn, that looks nice whatever it is worth!

frank c 08-29-2010 08:15 PM

Its worth whatever you can GET for it.

I would have to agree that if it was virgin it would be worth more but it's still gotta be worth something more because it is a jambo.

HAARUBICON 08-29-2010 08:27 PM

Well, I dont want to sell it, I want to buy it from my friend. He thinks its worth a fortune because it is a Jamboree, he wants $7500.00 I was thinking $4500 since it does not have a top other than the bikini and I did the work to make it look this good and running.

Dustlander 08-29-2010 08:37 PM

i like it i want one

80cjman 08-29-2010 09:03 PM

I would say 4-5 would be good with no top. The seats and dash are also things to consider. I mean what would you pay for a bone stock cj? I say no more than 6k for it. 4k is a great deal.

fredrok 08-29-2010 09:47 PM

Ditto on everything. $7500 is nuts and $4500 w/ today's economy would be fair.

I looked at a lot of Jeeps before I bought mine last year, and I think you would be hard pressed to find one in that condition around my neck of the woods for $4500. You might, but you would darn sure have to hurry or you would be too late.
I gave 2G for mine and the engine needed rebuilding and the wiring harness under the dash looked like Jack the ripper had gotten hold of it. It still was running and driving, the body has very little rust and looks pretty good from 20 ft. Had a shackle lift and $1000 worth of brand new michelin tires on it. I now have around $3500 in it (not counting anything for my time) and everything that needed fixing is fixed and it is nowhere close to the one pictured here.
