1982 CJ - what do you think?

Ok guys (and ladies)- since i'm in the market for a CJ7, I'm going to be posting a LOT on here for info and help. Thanks to those who already gave me advice. I posted last week about an 80 cj7 with a bad frame... well, i just checked out an 80 cj7 - 140k on a 258, and surpisingly, the frame looks great! apparantly, the original owner was a car dealer, so it had some good undercoating (only on the second owner). HOWEVER - there is considerable rust/rot at the rear body mounts. this is probably something i shouldn't get involved with, since i don't have the space or the knowledge, but should i have any interest in it for the axles if i were to get a cj in the near future? it's a 258 with a 4 speed tranny. any idea what it's got?

Thanks in advance-

Here is a Web site with some good general info.

This link should place you right in the CJ7 portion of the page.

Could have a T4, SR4, or a T176. You can buy new body mounts to weld to the frame, they aren't very expensive.
