Ha! A little preemptive but I sure do appreciate the vote of confidence! CJ of the month would be awesome but there are soooo many really well-built CJs out there. Maybe I'll wait for a slow month and slip it in at the end.

Calvin! Thank you. It really exceeded my expectations but there are still little details that drive me crazy. I've certainly got time to work on those though. Just waiting for the weather to warm-up and I'll be out breaking stuff!

No, no... I didn't win CJ of the month. I think it was just some not-so-subtle encouraging to enter from 4lowherewego. So many nice rigs in there though. Kinda intimidating!

And maybe an REAL action shot might help. No pavement allowed in CJ of the Month submissions!

Damn dude, that is one gorgeous jeep. Great job.
Question for you, the rear horizontal bar on your rollcage that allows for a shoulder belt, did you buy that or have it made?

FOR SALE!

I'm bummed but it'll help finance a freaking IRS audit.

Let me know if anyone's interested.

Wow, I hate to hear that.. I got in trouble with the IRS back in the early 90's and it cost me a fortune to get straight with those clowns.. Lots of money, misery, headaches, worrying, foreclosed house, etc... They are really low lifes with no compassion for human beings.... Do what you have to in correcting your issues.... They are relentless and will not give up.... Just my opinion of course but definitely a fact and a bad 5 years of my life.... I fought them and lost!!!!!
Good Luck....

Sorry to hear that you are selling it.

Best of luck w/ the IRS...

Do you have it listed for sale anywhere?

If so, can you post a link?

Thanks guys. Yeah, it really sucks but I'll absolutely do it again once the dust settles from the IRS thing. Half the fun (or more) was building it and the camaraderie with you all. I'll be sorry to see it go.

I haven't listed it anywhere yet. I thought I'd let JF know first and then ease myself into actually listing it on craigsList or eBay. Not sure of the best way to sell it or what to ask for it. Any ideas?

build question -

Sorry to hear you are selling your Jeep. I wish mine was half that nice.

Also sorry to ask a question about your build at this time but I noticed the way you had the bar running horizontally across the rear bench seat with what looks like shoulder belts. Would you be able to elaborate on that design? Is that your own invention that you had fabricated?

Any other CJ owners out there with something similar?

I have kids that I need to pick up from school after work and it would be awesome if I could throw some booster seats in the back. As it stands I cannot drive the CJ to work very easily.

Thanks

No worries, Herk.

The rear 3-point mounting location is outlined a bit more here.

Let me know if you have questions.
