1978 cv driveshaft position?

We have a CV type front driveshaft 1978 CJ 7 that were trying to redo ... need to no if the fat side of driveshaft goes up or facing down? Thanks

The side with the CV should be at the transfer case. I take it this is a QuadraTrac equipped Jeep?
