I'm using a painless performance wiring harness on my '78 CJ5 w/AMC 360. Before I hook up my battery cables I want to check continuity at the starter solenoid with my multimeter. When I touch the starter solenoid cable on one battery post (of the solenoid) and touch my ground wire, the multimeter buzzes. Similarly, when I touch the S terminal (of the solenoid) and touch my ground wire it buzzes. Are these two wires grounded when the key switch is not in the start position?
