1973 T15 into 84 CJ7 - what clutch?
Does it matter which clutch I use? I notice the 72-75 clutches are 10.5" and have 3 large throwout fingers (looks like a old john deer tractor clutch); I notice the 80-86 clutches are 11" and have closely spaced 20 or so throwout fingers (like most cars/truck clutches i've seen).
Which one do i want? motor is an amc 360 (1985 my). will the flywheel accept a 10.5" or the 11", and which clutch fork / throwout bearing do i want to use? the 72-75 version or the 76-86 version?
You'll want to use the '72-75 parts for the clutch, clutch fork, pilot bushing, and throwout bearing.
The '76 and up TO bearing isn't compatible with the '72-75 clutch fork and the '72-75 clutch fork is the only one that will fit the bellhousing. The flywheel will accept the smaller clutch disc.
thank you thank you very much! exactly what i was looking for..
