Got my front stinger in for my bumper build. Mocked it up

Finally finished getting the clutch adjusted. Runs good minus a small exhaust leak. Final touches tomorrow then she's headed up north for the hunting season!

Finally drove it! Only to find a few problems lol. But it was at least nice to finally get it out! Chilling next to my Grandfather's 42 on our ranch next to the Eel River

This was taken during hunting season. Didn't drive it much due to the flooding issue and the rain.

Yesterday, I drove up to tow it home. 500 miles in one day is not fun

Got it home and finished the "garage" it's going to be stored in on the side of my house. Got plenty of projects to do on it over the winter

I'm hoping to get the fueling/tuning issue worked out soon and then I've got a few big projects coming like a spare tire carrier, front bumper build, body armor including tube fenders and then I'll be going through the suspension and hopefully adding some full size axles from a Scout. I've got a lot of work to do!

Stuck a fuel pressure gauge on it at the suggestions of Tarry99, 6lbs of fuel pressure just like spec. So I'm hoping my fueling issues are just carb related and it needs to be tuned

Then I started on some real small fab work to finally mount my winch plate and front stinger

Then I re-installed my front driveshaft and did a few more odds and ends. It needs a wash badly.

Just ordered the upgrade to a hydraulic clutch. Hoping it's as a worthwhile upgrade as everyone says!

Where did you order the hydraulic clutch setup, and what does it come with? I really like to see budget builds, yours looks fun.

Scratch that, carb started sputtering today under load. I'm really starting to hate carbs even more than I did before. I really need to put together a rbi setup or just save up the dough for a Howell setup.

Either way, here are my pics of the hydro clutch install. Loving it so far.

Fabbed my own push rod so my throw was at least adjustable

Finally got a timing light and adjusted my tune. She's running MUCH, MUCH better now. No more bogging issue

Do you have the slave cylinder bolted to any steel? Or is it all aluminum? I would be a little leary, i would think the potential of cracked/breaking the bellhousing ears to very possible. Lookin good.

For what it's worth, that's how my slave cylinder is mounted, been like that a long time. You can see by the photo that it's time to change mine out. I like what you've done with your Jeep so far.

Do you give the Jeep wave at night when they can't see you?

That's how it is on the Cj's that come stock with a hydraulic clutch. Not an issue

Not much going on lately. Getting a HEI setup for xmas, along with a new gas tank to replace my leaky one.

Hoping the distributor will solve my tuning issues. It seems fine one day then off the next. The distributor that came with it was just an old stocker that only performs so-so. All I did was replace the rotor, cap, points, plugs and wires to get it running but that's not good enough right now. The timing still jumps around. The gears are fine and the timing chain slack was well within spec when I had the front cover off. Going to swap the distributor and hope that solves the issue.

Then I can finally move on to body armor and spare tire carrier.
