Here is the newest addition to the family. We moved my 89yr old Grandma to Siloam Springs about a month ago to live with my Cousin and I seen this Jeep setting behind the neighbors house about 3 acres away. Walked over and took a quick look. I have thought about it a lot since then so I made arrangements with the owner, went up there today to visit my Grandma and buy a Jeep. I am naming it "Dorothy" after my Grandma since that is how I found it.
This is what I know... which could be wrong

Nice CJ! Congratulations on your "new" Jeep. The Jeep looks to be in great shape. Best of luck with her.

Man that is one sweet trailer. Tilt bed and all. Just as nice as a roll-back.

Great find and it looks like it's been well taken care of . From the pics, there no obvious rot. How's the frame and undercarriage look?

Frame looks good. Body mounts need to be replaced and mounts worked on a little. I am going to finish my bumper for the YJ and then clean the Garage up and pull Dorothy in for the winter. I will probably 1st tackle the brakes and figure out why the Tranny is popping out of 2nd. Syncros or mounts, or etc....

Welcome to the club. There are a ton of upgrades and mods for your year. Some simple and easy, some a bit more costly and entailed. You will find driving one of these ECJ5's a blast, and since they are getting rare, everybody wants to stop and talk to you about it.
BTW, I'm assuming those are Armstrong tires. I had a set of wide XT Commandos with that tread pattern. They were bias ply so they rode like crud, but the tread pattern was the best one I ever owned.
