1966 CJ-5 question

There is a friend of mine who's father is getting ready to move and he has a 1966 CJ-5 with I believe under 19K miles. It is all original... does not even have seat belts. It has not been run in years and needs a new fuel pump ( so he thinks). What do you all think is a fair price? It is a classic with the Buick V-6. My wife actually says that I needs a toy (she just bought a horse) to play with. Any thoughts on what you think it is worth please let me know. Thanks.

Gabe

What does he want for it? Remember it's only worth what your willing to pay for it.

He wants $5500 but he might work with me a bit.

It would have to be pretty clean for that money and not running. But that's a great combo with the V6.

Roof? Rear seat? Trans? Overdrive? Gears? Rust? Steering tight? 5500 is a realitive price. While a little steep for your run of the mill 66, a prime unit or one with some drivetrain options might be in the ballpark. On a side note......you'll LOVE the V6.
