1965 CJ5 Engine Question??????

I am a complete newbie to the Jeep World, so go easy on me. I just bought a great running and driving 1965 CJ5 for $800. It has a Buick odd-fire V6 that the owner claims is the original engine. I know these jeeps were produced with a 4 cyl. but I have heard that a few of them got the V6. I dont care if it is the original engine or not, my question is:

Assuming it is stock, is the Buick odd-fire engine in my '65 CJ5 the same thing as a Buick Dauntless V6?

Like I said, I know basically nothing, so any information would be extremely helpful!

Thanks in advance!
