1963 dana 44 torque specs......

Lots of shims behind brake plate ....not sure how those work or what they set?

What do the shims do and is there a torque spec for the uts that hold the backer plate on?

Is the torque spec for the castle nut 250 ftlbs ?

Putting the brake bACKER AND Axle hub back on and just wantig to know how it all works in there and get it right.....thanks

Thanks, I appreciate the help...got it back together now and feel confident about it....we will see how it does on a test run......need to pull the passenger side part now and check it out as well.

Thanks once again, I appreciate it, just what I need to go forward !
