That's a big can of worms.
What do you want to do with it?
Do you want to stay old school or update to late model and EFI?
Drive it on the hwy or just off road?
How about a Chrysler 440 Super Commando Hemi 6 barrel with a 427 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic tranny? (1970 Road Runner Superbird set-up)
You can have the most over-powered Jeep in town!!
Years ago I knew a guy who put a Chevrolet 327 V8 in a Corvair.
That looks very cool. I did a lot of work on my old f-134. I have never heard of the Super hurricane. Below is from wikipedia
The 6-226 "Super Hurricane" was a L-head 6-cylinder from Continental with a bore of 3 5⁄16 inches and stroke of 4 3⁄8 inches, giving a displacement of 226.2 cu in (3,707 cc). Horsepower rating is 105 hp (78 kW; 106 PS) at 3600 rpm or 115 hp (86 kW; 117 PS) at 3650 rpm, as well as a torque rating of 190 lb·ft (258 N·m) at 1400 rpm or at 1800 rpm, depending on the year of production.
