1952 Willy on the USS Lexington

During our tour of the USS Lexington, we saw a 1952 Willy from the USS Rendova. They didn't have too much information about it.

I thought the snorkel and exhaust riser were interesting. I was wondering if that was common for most branches of service or only for the Navy and Shore Patrol.

the deep water fording kit would not have been installed on a '52 from the factory, it was as needed and came in a kit. doubt the Navy would use the on a shore patrol jeep

That is cool, my uncle was assigned to the USS Rendova when he was in the Navy.
