OK Heres a new video.
I got my Flowmaster 40 in today! wow, 2 days and its at your door! and it was free? man I tell ya I find the best deals sometimes.
I also think I have some "backfiring" or "detonation" happening. What could be causing that. i think its because the timings not set perfectly yet, but it starts.

If you don't have much exhaust pipe on it then it sounds normal to me... yeah, the timing may not be quite right. A short pipe makes it sound that way because the Flowmaster 40 and very short pipes allow more "pops" to be heard.
A longer pipe of the right diameter will set up some resonance.

I've just read all the pages, and I must say, I'm impressed
I really like your project I'm only 16 but I'm inlove with Jeeps. There's a Willys CJ3A (this one is original, not a Mahindra) sitting in a garage near my place and the owner won't sell it to anybody else but me Me and my dad run a car parts business (he used to be a mechanic) so working is not a problem, but I don't have a garage so I might never get the life back in that Willys...
And yes, I read your answer about the CJ3B parts supplier. When weather gets better I'll disassemble the brakes, take pictures and measurements (just in case) and contact Walks4wd, so thank you again

Congrats on the bed and "new" truck ! The Flying Hammer now has a good bed, a brother, and the count goes to 3! Looks like you'll have plenty to do for a good while .
Be well,
Richard

Don't worry, that came from a TJ owner.
Where are you finding all those old pickups? If I lived near you I'd be in trouble. But heck, if you have 2 more now, restore them when you're done with the flying hammer.

I know what to do with it....
Strip it for all the spare parts you can get off of it and keep them for the truck you are building now, THEN...
Get you a ford 9" rear, a Dana 44 front, and a Chevy 350 and build you a beast!
Then you can have one for the street and one for the trail.

Well NO I wouldn't do this. The truck im getting runs great, just doesn't have a steering column, and no drivers seat. I got it for my dad really, just to keep him away from The Flying Hammer.
Maybe a SOA and a V6..
