1 Inch Body Lift Now No It Wont Go Into Gear

HELLO New here...well beeen lurking forever,,I installed a 1 inch body lift on my 82 scrambler and now wont go into gear. I tried adjusting the linkage under the hood but no luck. IF I HOLD THE LINKAGE UNDER THE HOOD AND HAVE A BUDDY MOVE THE SHIFTER ON THE COLUMN I GET NO MOVEMENT DOWN BELOW. IT ALL WORKED PERFECT BEFORE THE LIFT. ANY SUGGESTION ?

You broke the linkage some where when you jacked up the body. most of the time it brakes right where it comes out of the ster/colm. Start at the trans and follow it up.

thanks linkage from main rod down to trans is working good...disconnected it from the column and goes into all gears.....where the rod from the trans attaches is where the problem begins...you can hold the ear but when you move the shift lever on the colum nothing moves..... going the shop tonight to double check everything while it's still on the lift
