ZJ Stored

Well, I changed the insurance on the ZJ to storage. That means it's insured just enough to keep plates on it just can't drive it.

It just has to many problems right now, oil leaks a.c. drips, electrical issues and my finishing divorce and re-fi on the house(buying her out) has finally tapped me out.

Depending on how much I get back for taxes I might start with transfer case then once again work on the a.c. drip. oh well

It's just sad looking out the window and seeing it sitting there collecting dust now.

Ehhh. My YJ looks like a leaf pile, itll clean off. And when your ready, it wil be better than before. Why pay insurance though? Cant you just surrender the plates, and when its done reregister it?

Depends on where it's parked. A lot of cities will tow a vehicle with expired plates the day after they expire. I know my apartment complex is like that. Right before closing time every day they make a round of the parking lot checking tabs and tires. Lord help you if you get a flat!!

But at least it's one thing I don't have to remember. The big pink notice stuck to the windshield certainly reminds me big enough!!

I keep it parked in my driveway. So I'd just rather keep the plates on it. It's super cheap per month so i really wont notice it to much.

I might actually get to put the 2"BB on it and change the intake gasket now.

I do the same thing with my WJ, I explained to them that it only gets driven every few months. I have a deal with them where I call and reapply full coverage for a weekend or whatever I need and it only increases the insurance for those couple days. Otherwise it's like $50 every 6 months that covers theft and vandalism.

I'm .... close to tossing the TJ down to liability only. Despite the whopping full coverage $47/mo. Only driven it twice since before Thanksgiving, but might do it for a few months til it gets to be convert weather.

doubtful though for $20/month ultimately

Storage at least covers it for theft/loss/damage while it's parked. Otherwise you are SOL if anything happens.
