Your location

I've noticed that quite a few members don't list their location in their profiles. I would just like to comment that, I always look to see where a person is from (especially someone with Jeep problems). If the person is close enough, I would have no problem driving over and helping them out or letting them use my garage and tools to do work. I'm sure there are others that feel the same way so those of you who don't list your locale... you might be missing out on some free help or garage space..

I think this is a good idea. I have often wondered the same thing and as a general rule, most Jeep guys and gearheads are awesome. Sorry, my location is a little vague, but I live in Waco, but also "live" in Austin and frequent College Station.
Let's keep this thread going.

Guys... my garage is always open to Jeeps... just ask any of my buddies (who are always over here using my stuff or putting me to work) I don't even think any of my last 2 boxes of 7018 rods made it to my own Jeep

I personally don't have a garage - or all the tools in the world - but I do have enough to get myself outta trouble (most of the time).

My buddy who does have a garage also has just about every tool in the world - it was his help and his garage that helped me get my Jeep as big as it is!

I always made sure that I brought the donuts and coffee in the mornings - and had left a full box of welding rods as thank you after using what he had left.

Its always great when a Jeeper can help a Jeeper!

Here in the Hampton Roads area we have a large Military Community with the Navy, AirForce, Army, Marines, and Coast Guard all having stations in the area. It's kinda funny that Jeeping has helped to sorta bridge the military branch gap between me and a few of my Jeepin' buddies. I met one friend and hung out with him several times before I even knew he was in the military too (AF). Plus, we kind of mark our post or base as our "turf". Every time a new Jeep pops up on post, all the other Jeepers make it a point to check it out... kinda like a dog sniffin' another dog I suppose Hmmm... maybe a military Jeep club....

Heck my garage always has something in it camaro (usualy), jeep, even (shudders) a ford or two every once in awhile. My garage/tools are open to be used by all of my friends, the only stipulation is you clean/put them up when you are done. I am willing to help anybody as long as they don't have a crappy additude.

I've been wanting to start something like that for a while. Considering that we'd be all on the same payscale, it'd would make it a bit more comfortable. We could even make it part of a change of station package.

[ ] Check box for using Jeep club Sponsorship to next Base.

My garage has enough tools to get the job done and its always open to my freinds or people that need it. I tend to have a Cj or two in the every once in a while. I even let a chevy park in there once. OOOHHHPPP did I say Chevy .......uuummm.....I meen .....um. Glad to help. Speeking about helping other people out, have you ever had some idiot with an off road capable vehicle (not a tue off roader by the attitude) ask for money after they pull you out. I had a '95 wrangler before I got married and got poor and had to backstep to an '88. I had a ramsey winch and 33's. I probably pulled 25 peolple out of the mud before, wheteher they were being stupid and off roading there factury truck in deep mud, or an extreme off roading needing some help, or even a poor girl who got too close to the slope on the side of the road. I even twice had traffic stopped by police officers on local myrtle beach road to pull people out of ditches and on to the pavement and never...never...never.. asked for a dime. I bought a 2wheel drive chevy s-10 set up for street running and got it stuck in some sand at the beach one time and some jerk who hooked a chain up and pulled me out had the nuts to ask me if I had any money on me. Any body else have this problem? And I am no lying about the people I pulled out. I even have a letter to the editor from the local newspaper were on of the people I pulle dout wanted to thank me, but did not have my name.
