hehe....I had a friend that almost happened, had a lowered stratus, he had to approach every speed bump at an angle to avoid scraping it

but he did actually go with engine mods.......threw a rod or something and decided to have it upgraded, it's now been "being repaired" since last summer

ditto.. my friend has a strat thats kinda lowered but not so much that he has to avoid speed bumps. Hes putting a body kit on it, has it turbed with some internal work... soon hes twin turbing it and putting in a 5 speed standard from a PT crapper... for a family sedan, that thing spanks 90% of the ricers around town.

This was my car up until december (bought the TJ). Its in my garage under a tarp. After that darn Fast and Furiously stupid movie came out, my autocross and street fun became a kids toy. Every goddarn kid has a civic these days.
When the sequel comes out this summer, I'm gonna sell it to some stupid kid comin out of the theater.

Still wouldn't happen I have owned 2 stangs 1 87 gt and 1 90 gt, I modded the heck out of the 90 and ran mid to high 12 sec 1/4's while only incesting $5,000 & my 87 was stock and ran 14's. Show me any ricer that can do that w/out having almost $15,000 invested.
I have seen the worst riced out car though, it was a 1998 GT Mustang he had it lowered w/the fart cans , clear lights and the whole nine, I almost cried that day . 4cylinders will never beat 8........................

Actually, I had a 93 civic hatch that I paid 2000 for. Put a integra ls engine in it, complete swap with some performance stuff for about 1500. 3500 in it all together and it went 15.3 in the quarter. 100 shot of nos would have put it in the 14's easy! But then that damn movie came out and ruined it all!!!!! Then I got smart and bought a jeep and have never looked back! BTW, I sold the civic to some 17 year old for 7000.

14's with NOS of coarse, you could hit 14's on a lawn mower w/ NOS. NOS is not a true modification to any vehicle, True hp comes from motor work, bolt ons, and a lot of hard work not a bottle.
