You guys have to watch this!!!

Mieders Alpine Coaster (with no brakes!!) - YouTube

This is burly!! I could think of a ton of things that could go wrong here.

I don't know if I would have the nuggets to try this lol.

Even though it has a brake, the track is setup so that the car is mechanically braked through certain sections. So whether or not you operate the brake, the car physically can't exceed a certain speed.

Up-Stop wheels:

The rail in the top center of the track keeps the car upright as well as acts as the brake fin that the brakes catch onto- this rail also gets thicker in the high speed sections to slow the train enough to keep it at a safe speed.

I'd be all over that. Makes those alpine slides they have at some ski resorts in the rockies seem pretty wimpy. At least there's no way for the track to brake for you on them though. I've come damn near flying out of the track in the corners on those things. Fun stuff.

I would be all over this

I did the alpine slide in Park City years ago.... not exactly the same thing, but still pretty fun.

I've done that one and another one like it in Slovenia. They're pretty darn fun for sure. I still want to try a bobsled ride though next time I'm in Austria.
