XBMC Media Server - Cut Cable TV -- Anyone here?

Anyone here run XBMC?
I've just recently been looking into it to stream my DVDs to my TV instead of having to load them into a bluray player.

There seems to be a million ways to do it though.
Apple TV 2 -> XBMC
Raspberry Pi -> XMBC
etc, etc

Or just buy something like a Boxee.

Has anyone here done it? Recos?

I have an android PC on a stick I've been meaning to try it on. That and Plex. Plex transcodes any video to fit your mobile device. (In this case my PC on a stick). I'll use xbmc for my music but probably Plex for everything else as I grow tired of piddling with different codecs and containers and whatnot.
Its like a (silly censor)roach, the Wrangler - you can't kill it And now there's a four door. Joy.

I snagged a free original Xbox from a buddy and put XBMC on it. It's fun to play around with and I would use it more, but I work for the cable co. and get free services, so I don't use it very much.
