Just curious on the worth of a WW1 Wool Overseas Cap I recently inherited. It is OD green with a brass field artillery pin on it. What I find most interesting is it has hand written name and dates on the inside. It says 1917 1919 John B Wood no 131719 Bat.A.17 Field Art 2nd Div A.P.O.710 Am.Ex.Force.France.
I'm certainly no authority on the matter, but I piddle around the antique stores from time to time. I'd say $40-60? You have to realize that a great number were made and from that era many of them came home and went into a chest for safe keeping along with the rest of the uniform.
