I've been shopping for a new mountain bike on Craigslist, and I can't believe the prices people are asking these days. Do these people have any idea what new bikes you can get for $550???

Yup people go why did you spend 1000 on a bmx bike you can get them at walmart for 100. I've rode alot of different bikes dynos, gt , stolen, we the people, (it was Probly the smoothest bike I rode) eastern, fit, but my all time favorite was my redline that had a huge dent in the frame. Was also chipping but that bike I could.pick it up by my pinkie (wasn't that strong as a kid). I loved it when ever I bunny hopped it felt like I was lifting nothing. The height I got on it was mind blowing. Only redline I really liked I think it was more of a racing bike but it was perfect for bmx till it got stolen :/

Noone said bikes aren't expensive. He said he's never seen a bike for $550. Go look at any of the competitive manufacturers' websites, and you'll see that $550 is the entry level price point.

If you haven't seen a bike for $550, you didn't look...at all. And that $150 Wal Mart bike is still 20X better than ANY 20 year old mountain bike.

He just wanted to brag about how much he spent on a bike.
