you would be wrong.
i made sure to say "like years of the 2.5 and 4.0" are nearly identical. what with the obd2 added in 92-93, emissions added in 97, head changes, and the addition of coil packs somewhere in the early 2000's. both engines underwent the same changes in the same years.

as someone already said the newer 4 popper tj's (05-06 i think?) have a 2.4L that is overhead cam. that may be what you are thinking about.

They added OBD2 and yet used an OBD1 connector. How dumb can they get?

100 Characters is not enough to have an interesting/relevant signature.

yeah... my bad. i did mean obd1, obd2 came in 97 with the emissions is what it was supposed to say. i know what i wanted to type but my tired fat fingers got ahead of my brain while typing.

Some '95 Jeeps had OBD2 computers with an OBD1 connector. They didn't make the complete switch until production of the TJ was in full swing.

100 Characters is not enough to have an interesting/relevant signature.
