yah, but you know going into these things that you will never get the money back out. is a nice rig though

Yea but to think that just because he put $28k into it that he will get it out, thats insane. Jeeps arent houses....hence the movement. Its a decent rig, but go look at the $25k and upper rigs on jeepforum right now and they are a completely different animal.

It does look like a nice rig....... However, No Bank is going to loan 28k on a YJ.... isn't going to happen so seller needs a cash buyer... In this economy, cash buyers only turn lose of green stuff when deal is soooooo good that have to buy it. I know a guy who just purchased a luxury boat for $0.30 on the dollar and seller was happy as a clam to sell for $0.30 on the dollar because seller needed a cash buyer with 100K in his pocket and they are few and far in between.

That YJ is a nicely/well built Jeep...I couldn't blame the seller for asking a high price for it. Anyone knowing what they're doing would know that it's not cheap to build that like that and it's a **** load of hard work. The guy will find a buyer...eventually. It might take a couple years but to sell it for $10,000 just wouldn't be worth it. I'd part that bad boy out before I sold it for less than $17,000-$20,000.

Sit down and make a list of parts that will actually sell and list what they would sell for, (not asking price), I think you will find that the real market value of the parts and the market value of the total Jeep are not that far apart. To say nothing about only needing one buyer to sell total Jeep and having to deal with many buyers to part it out.

People sell stuff in this economy because they need to... if keeping it were a real choice, the seller wouldn't even be trying to sell... Now is not the time to be a seller... now is really not the time to be a seller of a Toy (non DD Jeep, Boat, ATV, etc.)..
