It's all good....breaking balls is a way of life when you grow up in the Philly area.

I'm sorta worried about the injuries, mainly with regard to Forsberg and Hatcher. Two biggest pickups and already injured in preseason. Ok (semi) now and Hatcher gets a couple more games off but if they get injured during the season it'll hurt the team alot. Forsberg was a bright spot for the team last night with the exception of his penalties (no way the one should have resulted in a pen shot though....but the Jimmy Johnson of hockey couldn't resist calling it).

Injuries and Flyers hockey go hand-in-hand. I don't even worry about it anymore, if it happens it happens. Until then, With Forsberg leading the PP, there is no way we should not have at least a 33% PP each night. Last nights game doesn't worry me, they just chocked in the 3rd, Hitch will work on it.

I was just trying to adjust to actually having hockey to watch. Should be a good season.

(How about Jagirl penalty for interference when he played the puck when he was still sitting in the bench, and then whining after, priceless).

Forsberg without doubt was solid pickup; no question. Hopefully he'll make it through with minimal injuries. His style of play usually doesn't allow that to happen, the guy is all over the place.

As for Hatch, I have to tell you guys, I'm glad he's out of Detroit. The Hatcher brothers grew up about 10 minutes from where I live in Sterling Heights. The new NHL does not look good for Hatcher's style of play. Let's face it, the guy is a turtle on the ice. Don't get in front of him though, he'll knock you on your can.

The good news about Hatcher is Hitch knows what he's getting.

Here's looking forward to 1/12/06 - game on!

No, I cannot actually say I have made the trip. After we won the cup, I was fortunate enough to stand in line for 3 hours to catch a 20 second glimpse of the cup. I snapped a couple of pictures of the cup itself and one w/ my stepfather who has been a hockey fan since he was a little kid. It was a madhouse and they were nazis about the time each person had. There was a special event held for season ticket holders and the owner of the company I work for gave them to me. It actually sucked because I only had 2 tickets. My gracious husband let my stepdad go with since he was the one who got us into the sport and they bought him a ticket to one of the cup games for his birthday.

He's a tool...not because he scored twice (Chris Therien how are ya?) but he looked like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar on that call....more embarassing to act innocent than just take your lumps and go to the sin bin (my 8 year old LOVES that term).

Make the trip! And do it before this season is over so you can have the satisfaction of seeing the champions photo on the wall heading into see The Cup. That is unless you're sure they'll repeat.

Maybe Rob can run over and make sure they still do that before you go

Oh yeah. We are a state. Never did get the whole Buckeye thing. Who wants to known as a bunch of worthless nuts ? I played hockey most of my younger years (4-20 years old ). I have to admit I am not an Ohio State fan. I used to live in Oxford and became a huge Miami RedSkin fan (never will accept the Redhawk name ). Miami University had some great hockey teams. Miami is my favorite hockey to view in person.

Damn, my shots at you had no affect.

I started hockey at 4 or 5 as well. At 34 I still play in various mens leagues and referree as well. I also worked as an off ice official in the old CHL and IHL, cool job.
