Is this Willys worth it?
Hey guys, there is an offer on the table to trade this 1951 Willys for my boat. I value the boat between 6-7 and he claims to price his Willys between 7-8k. There is SUCH a wide range of pricing on these and it's hard to get a good sence of where this falls. Hopefully, you guys can tell me if its worth it.

Its a 1951 willys, has a late 80's 4cyl Jeep engine in it, with a frame off redo 09/10

Looks bone stock other than the motor and possibly the transmission.
Understanding I can't see the undercarriage or the mounts, I would be hard pressed to go over $5000.

Got any pics of the boat?

Nice boat...I'd keep the boat, looks kinda like a lopsided trade (assuming the boat is in good running condition and comes with trailer)

Diamondplate corners & floorboards? Those are commonly rusted out areas....I'd be concerned about what's hiding underneath.

I would not pay $6-8000 for a willys like that. They are neat, but not rare and are as bare bones as it gets. I just don't see the value. You could get a decent CJ, YJ, or TJ for that money.

I too wonder what is behind the diamond plate.

The time now is 05:30 PM.
