Why not a lifetime membership 33% off too???

How many non members or yearly members would spring for the lifetime membership if they offered it at a 33% discount too instead of just 33% off the 1 yr membership?

This is just hypothetical since they are not offering any dicounts on the lifetime membership.......

Approximately 17.3. It's not mathematically viable.

whats the problem again? Why not just take advantage of the deal rather than complain about it. Somebodys got to pay the bills, servers and whatnot, and these memberships are what does it. Dropping the lifer 50 bucks is a lot of lost money.

I'm holding out for 35%.

We enter the zone of impressive numbers when we consider the onetime cost of the 1996 floods ($27 billion, but still cheaper than the 1998 floods), the annual direct losses due to desertification ($42 billion), and the annual losses due to water and air pollution ($54 billion). The combination of the latter two items alone costs China the equivalent of 14% of its GDP each year." - Jared Diamond, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed

idk if this is possible but can you just buy more than one 1 year membership and bank them? You could have a 5 year membership for 100 bucks.

Well it depends on how you look at it. I am not going to take advantage of the 1 year membership, because I dont know if I will be here in a year. However, I would spring for a lifetime at a 33% discount if it was offered.

Seriously? You'd pay $100 to not know if you'll be here in a year but you wouldn't pay $19.95 for the same thing?

It doesn't bother me to be a free member and I hate renewing stuff and making payments, so I dont have any desire to buy a 1 yr membership. I like to pay one time and be done. I currently dont see how a lifetime membership would matter to me But I would buy one if it was a good deal.
