Since this 9 yr. old thread won't die, can I turn it into a "Jeep wave" thread?
I only wave to Jeeps that have seven slot grills.

It's historical now! Who cares how old the thread is, the information contained within isn't time relevant.

Jeep 7 slot grill

I was told by a dealer that it represents the 7 continents of the world Jeep has traveled.

I was at an event recently where a 2014 Jeep was auctioned off, and the auctioneer said that there are 7 slots because the Jeep has conquered all 7 continents. For what it's worth...

Scientists have not yet achieved the breakthrough required to have exactly 8 slots.

93-95 ZJs do have 8 slot grilles. The 1996 facelift changed it to 7 as is the natural order. I don't even know what's up with XJ grilles.
