Who's home for a snow day

It's coming down like crazy here and everything's already cancelled for tomorrow. It is supposed to continue into Monday with 2 more inches mixed with sleet/freezing rain so things might be cancelled on Tuesday too. Happy long weekend guys.
The only sad thing is my jeep is getting painted and I want to see it. I was supposed to pick it up Monday but it seems likely they won't be open.

I haven't had a snowday in a while .. We got a foot of snow last Sunday .. so its not overly bad. Monday, most things were back to "normal" again.

Hey I'm in Carroll County, Maryland and this could turn out to be the biggest winter storm in Baltimore history! We have over a foot on the ground right now and we're supposed to get anywhere from 2 feet to 30 inches. The previous record was like 26 inches in 1922. We just hopped in the Jeep and took it out for a spin. Saw alot of other jeeps out there. :-) Anybody else gettin hit by this monster of a storm?

We are like every other storm this winter are getting only useless crap. Right now we have about a half inch of ice and sleet on the ground. Its been that way since yesterday morning. That means they have decide to dump sand on the roads along with the salt. I hate salt but, at least it disappears when it rains the sand will be there
until summer. Last nite the weather idiots were
saying we would get 6-9 inches of snow today thru
Monday now its down to 1-2 inchs on top of the ice. 30 inchs would be a bit much but, I would
love to see 10-12 around here. The largest amount
we have gotten at one time this winter has been about 4 inchs

I'm here in Carroll County too. We have about 2 feet now but it looks like it may be slowing down now.

I'm bummed though, cause my jeep is still in the paint shop. I would love to take it out today and maybe ride in the snowdrifts on the beach.

krazykracker, how many miles on your jeep before the motor blew. I have an '88 4cyl with 105,000 miles on it and I worry about this happening. Were there any warning signs of this coming on??

It had 124k. No fault of the motor, I run it pretty hard, long story short, keep oil in the motor.

We have over a foot here in State College, and the college is closed! But the ski slopes are open... it's fresh powder time! after driving around in the TJ for a while.
I was out last night and it was a blast. I see all these stupid people sliding down hills sideways and stuff. I don't understand how all the idiots come out when it snows. But I've got recovery gear in hand.... I like to help out

Hey Yaffy,

I am in state college too. I don't have a Jeep as of now because I am trying to buy a CJ-7 but anyway I am always looking for poeple who like four wheeling here. Took a look at your website, good work on the stuck story. I would like to know where there is to go four wheeling here. I didn't know about the trail you spoke of. Oh and by the way, I would drive back to give you a hand
