who has built a guitar?

ive got a little project goin on right now. and i was wondering how many of you have built a guitar?

I have the body(warlock) and the neck(BC Rich) as of now. Is the fitting of the neck really important? because my friend's guitar teacher does that stuff for a living, and can probably get me a good deal on that part of it. so, i wanna know if it would be best just having him do it.

as of now im going with the EMG 81/85 Pick Ups, and a Tune-o-matic bridge. what else do i need to get? im not that great with this kinda stuff. but, this thing will definitely look wicked. It will be a flat black base, and I am having the same girl that does my tattoos do some airbrushing on it. and then i will put a no-gloss clear on as soon as i get it back from her. but i cant do any of this until the neck is on.

thanks guys.

So you are going to do the wiring yourself? What wood are the body and neck made out of?

well, the body is 3 different types, mainly being Mahogany, the middle of it is maple, and then there is a 1/2" Strip of Black-African-Mahogany on each side of the maple.

the neck is one solid piece of maple.

and i will probably let the guitar tech my friend knows do the wiring.
