Theres a bar near my house that opens at 7am. They have a happy hour and pub specials just like you'd have from 5-7 or something with wings, little pizza bites and so on.

the whole concept of morning and night get messed up when you work the PM shift. That being said, when I get off at 0700, I am so freaking tired i hit the bed and I am usually out.

when I was younger I'd grab a couple beers first thing in the morning to keep the hangover staved off for a few hours

I drink socially so I'm no teetotaler but it seems some in this thread may have a drinking problem. To me, some think it's macho to brag about how much they drink but to me it just indicates a problem handling alcohol. I've had two alcoholics in my family and it's not fun... drinking too much just causes problems for the individual and those around him/her.

I wouldn't mind having a drink in the morning sometimes.. like a Bloody Mary, Irish Coffee.. Kahlua and coffee.. but not a bunch of beers. As a kid I used to relieve another work mate at 0600 and we would bring the other a 6 pack of tall boy beers for the ride home. I would get home buzzed and wake the roomies up for college.. didn't happen every day but every once and again, it was fun for what it was. I would not qualify as an AA candidate. I too had a few family members that wrecked their families over alcohol..if you have never been a part of anything that traumatic it is hard to really appreciate the dynamics that are associated with the disease. The memories have always been there .. to be my line in the sand.

On weekends, after getting ripped the night before, I usually wake up about 5-6 AM. Get up. Drink a Gin and Tonic while catching a show on the DVR. Then start another and eat breakfast. Finish the G&T. Then go back to sleep till noon. Then I get up and kick *** the rest of the day doing projects.

More productivity on the weekends than sober days at work!!!

I work 5pm to 5am, if it's my last day on shift I might have a couple jameson's or a good single malt to wind down before bed.

I do laugh on my way home from work I drive by a couple 24 hour strip clubs and I always see the parking lot full of cars, I'm trying to figure out who looks at snatch that early in the morning, but then I think, you know I wouldn't mind seeing some right now myself

I get off work at 6am, and I'll have a beer or two before bed (around 8am) now and then. It's not early morning, it's REALLY late night drinking.
