Crap

Thanks,

Just when I needed it. I can't seem to disconnect the hard top wiring harness on my 2003 wrangler.

The wire harness side of the plug has a sliding tab, red in color, that locks the wire harness side socket onto the top portion. That red tab must be slid completely one way or the other. Try both positions, you'll figure it out. It's a tight space, you'll probably need a screwdriver to reach into the socket hole in the top to slide it.

Harness locks are common, but that one seems like an unusual place to have one!

I'm pretty sure this forum has never had a SEACH button but I could be wrong.

Yup that little red tab is a pain in the @ss to get to. I don't know why they don't make the wires a little longer so you can pull it away from the hard top to get better access.
