The Wranger is currently made in Toledo, Ohio (But there was a plant in Brampton, Ontario), the Grand Cherokee is made in Detoit and Graz, Austria, the Liberty in Toledo, Cairo, Egypt and Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela, the Commander in Detroit and Graz, the Compass and the Patroit in Belvidere, Illinois.

Most (Wranglers anyway) are made in Toledo, OH, not sure of others, MKs are produced in Belvidere Ill. at the BAP. Seem to remember Sterling Heights being somewhere in there... Not sure on Liberty or GC models.

I think part of the VIN number represents where and when it was made.

Toledo also. I grew up in the area, and loved that I could drive by with my YJ and see where it was born every few weeks.

Liberty is in the new Toledo plant also, I believe.

The first few years of YJ's were made in Canadia. All CJ's, TJ's, and later YJ's were made in Toledo.

If your TJ says "Made in Canada" then it's not really a Jeep. It was put together by slave labor(sorry-labour) using parts hammered out of old oil drums deep in the Arctic Circle.

Edit: They also make the Libbys and Dodge Nitros here. Not that anyone cares about those.
