When you have three teens in the house, you need peace and quiet so badly you'd vacation in a cave. They're all grown now and we need to get away from the quiet

I know what you are saying, but I still can't imagine living there. Ocean city would have been more to my liking.

You've got to love the isolation of Chincoteague/Assateague. We'll be back maybe this year,it's been a while and we miss it
Yeah, I think it's great too....had an Aunt and Uncle that took me and my brother there a few years in a row when we were kids. Camping at Tom's Cove, crabbing, fireman's carnival, watching the ponies cross. Excellent.

Had to work down there a couple years back at some Navy installation on Wallop's Island. Was during the winter....talk about desolated. Nearly no visible life, hehe. Even took a nostalgic drive through Tom's Cove.

Jeep club I belong to is having a club ride down to Assateague next month....wish I could go.

Tangier island.... Is that off of Chrisfield? In the bay? Seems there was an Island with a decent population, but only 2 last names. Like everyone was either a "smith" or a "jones"
