It makes the story so much better when a state trooper is involved in the wreck.

Mine happened i think 2 1/2 years ago. I had an old piece of an Eagle Talon. I'm not sure why, but I hated this car beyond belief and was wanting to sell it so I could get my current Jeep. I was with a couple friends at the local mall and we left at closing time and found out my car wouldn't start. I got mad and punched the quarter panel and broke my hand. I got a Boxer's Fracture and 4 dents in the side of the car...I told the doctor I fell and "Forcefully hit my hand on the coffee table."

got a nice gash on my ankle from a shovel. i was young and didnt notice that someone replaced the shovel handle with a metal tube. so when i jumped on the shovel to get it into the ground, the metal handle bent the mount on the shovel and my ankle got hold of it. thank goodness i was with a bunch of my friends from boy scouts. they fixed me up real nice and sent me to the ER. walked away with 8 staples in my ankle and a week later went off to boy scout summer camp. that week was HELL.

When i was about 13 i was out having a nice afternoon, rollerblading on the boardwalk... hit a lump of asphalt, while going really slowly... just landed on my arm wrong, snapped both bones in my forearm.. my left hand touched my left elbow... nothing popped through but they had to put in some screws and plates to put the arm back together...

left me with a gross scar that i am looking to get removed/fixed or something, but i have lived with it for 10 years

when i was 8 me and a friend were playing on his deck, whcih we were told to stay off of. he pulls out a squirt gun and i back away falling of the deck backwards (it had no railing which is why we weren't supposed to be there.) anywho, caught the deck in my stomach and then fell 11 feet to the ground. Got the wind knocked out of me and threw up. Well im in pain and scared because it was the first time i had the wind knocked out of me. I tell them my stomach hurts and my shoulder hurts so i get rushed to a small local ER, who sends us to the real hospital because they can't do X-rays. well they start examining me and they figure i have a broken shoulder, pump my stomach and get x-rays. nothing broken. Well they stare at me for a bit thinking im just a wuss who bruised his shoulder when someone said do a cat scan to be safe. Low and behold 2nd degree fracture of my spleen. I was told if i had even gotten up and walked around it would have burst and i would have died. So i got to spend my 8th birthday in the hospital where i got a lung infection. then i spent 2 months bed ridden because they didnt want to cut the thing out. But nnow im healthy as a horse. that is my worst injury.
my funniest is probably when i went to drop into a super pipe from the lip. caught my edge right as i went over and landed flat on my face. big ole' concussion.

Attempting to adjust a piece of wood in the log splitter, and getting my ring/middle fingers caught between the wood and blade. Lucky for me, the piston was at the end of its stroke and the blade barely cut into my fingers. They hurt like hell for a week or so (I'm sure it cut into the muscle a bit), and bled pretty badly at first, but they healed up.

Over shot a 25 foot table on my downhill bike...bailed mid air...and went straight to my hands and my helmet. Broke the helmet, broke boths wrists, and got a major concussion. To make it better...the day I got back on the bike, I broke my right wrist again. Same jump too!!!

(#1) was in about 5th grade when the neighbor gave me an old bicycle that was his sons. Old rusty thing... was going down a hill and the chain broke (only had peddal brakes) after going down the hill about 300 feet. Keep in mind , im scared ****less by this point because its the fastest ive ever went on a bicycle (to this day). I decided i had to do something about it becasuse i was coming up on a busy 2 lane road pretty quick. I turned into a yard that i didnt realize had about a 4 foot slope. Launched me and the bike about 15 feet into the side of a house, broke off the hose spicet (sp) and didnt knock me out but hurt so much that i layed there for a little until the home owners decided to come out and found me laying there getting blasted by cold *** water.

(#2) about 13 by this time... immediately after the cop telling me not to ride my mini bike on the street i decide to take off down main street, fast as the bike would go. I let off the gas , but it was stuck at wide open and by this time i was already turning into a friends driveway. At this speed the front tire just slid when i tried to turn and the bike kept going straight, i launched off of where the curb goes back into being about 6 inches tall. sent me and the bike flying into a pretty big tree, did nt have a helmet on so i was knocked out for a bit and woke up to the bike still running WFO and smokeing like a pig. shut it off kicked it a few times and pushed that pos home haha. i was scared to death to ride it again.

(#3) This january after coming back to post after christmas leave i was climbing into a bunk bed while standing on a fold out chair. The chair tipped over so i threw my left leg out instantly to catch myself. Well my left knee hyperextended and my 6'4" self hit the cement floor hard. I got up and called the medic that insisted i walk on it and try to walk it off (bad idea). After about a week of them trying to claim that it was fine and i was 'making it out to be more than it was' i told them that i needed to have something done about it. Then i was sent up here to fort dix where they did x rays , seen nothing, so they did an mri whick showed a completely shredded meniscus stuck inbetween the bones ( hurt a h*** of a lot worse once i knew what it was) and a pretty badly hyperextended mcl. Now after the knee surgery i got about 6 months of physical therapy to do there estimating I did 3 months of training to go to iraq and 2 days before we get on the plane to go to Kuwait this happens.

sorry for such a long read

My dumbest would be playing basketball on work time (I work on an ambulance) and my partner trying to shake me. I locked up my right knee, full weight on it, and felt something pop. Tore my ACL almost completely in half. 6 weeks of light duty work and PT every other day.

Worst was probably when I shattered my left hand punching a fullsize punching bag in karate class when I was 10. 3 broken fingers and 2 fractured metacarpals. Not a fun day.

Alright, here's my only real injury (nothing else has been hospital worthy or caused broken bones).

I was 15 at the time and making chocolate milk, seriously. My little brother was in the kitchen IIRC, he threw something at my glass on the table and I had a spoon in my hand and went to grab it before it knocked over the class...well, spoon/wrist nailed the glass and it broke in half! I didn't feel anything and was, ok, ill clean it up since he's a *******. Then I started to bleed EVERY where. Looked like a murder in my kitchen and my mom was flipping out. I just woke up so I wasn't fully clothed...soo....I wrapped a bunch of **** around my wrist (luckily my left since i'm right handed) and had to get dressed and my dad took me to the ER. Got there, waited forever filling out my papers and finally got seen by the doctor who was like "oh ****, this is worse than you said it was..." Needless to say, a vascular sugereon, doctor, nurse, and 20 internal/20 external stitches later...I still have no feeling in that part of my wrist. I luckily missed EVERYTHING in my wrist so I have 100% function. Getting the stitches hurt more than anything else.

Ill link to my photos.

after having to shovel snow a **** load of wet snow last tuesday because my skid steer loader wouldn't start, i spent the last couple days trying to get it running so i wouldn't have to shovel the up coming blizzard. this morning, it fired up too easily but wouldn't run for ****. while it was running, from the back, i reached around the radiator to pull the governor open. i stuck my hand into the fan in the pull (sharp) side. (Case skid loader fans push air from the engine side through the radiator.)
no broken bones but i have to go back to the doc next week to evaluate the soft tissue damage.

well My best and dumbest are the same. Two years ago we where in Moab on the atvs. On Thursday i bought a new Polaris Outlaw. well on sunday we where out on the trails all day and was on way back about 5 miles from camp. Going up the last smoth rock my atv stalled. So habit kicked in and whent to rease brakes some a roll to botom and try again. well on old atv the left lever is a brake on new its the cluch so when i whent to let off brakes i engaged the cluth and locked back tires up and over it came on top of me. Broke L1 and L2 in my back and 5 ribs. Good thing I had on full safty gear because it smashed my helment and cracke some other gear. Nine moths later i was back there haven fun.
