What's the scariest/freakiest thing that's ever happened to you?

With Halloween only 15 days away, let's swap some stories. What's some of the scariest stuff that's ever happened to you?

Mine's not really scary, just kinda freaky. One time my ex-gf and I were walking down the RR tracks, walking away from town, mind you. I looked up and saw a figure walking towards us on the tracks. As we drew closer, I could see that it was a man in his late 20's wearing a black leather jacket and jeans. We both said hi as we passed each other, and went about our business. Next thing I know, this guy has turned around and is walking towards us, and catches up with us. He starts talking and shooting the bull. As we get further away from town and into the middle of nowhere, this freak starts talking about finding bodies on the track, and how if he were to kill someone, he could dump them along the tracks in the brush and nobody would ever find the bodies. This is freakin' me and my girl out, so we make up some bs that she has to be home, and what not. I think that guy probably had plans to knock me out and rape her or something. This guy ended up being on the news about 3 days later because he got busted for raping some girl.

I know I've got some other experiences to share, but most of them occured during a drunken stupor in my late teens and early 20's, so I've gotta scrounge the brain for a bit.

1. scariest- getting pulled over by FBI agents on I-85

2. scariest- going thru customs with an ounce of hash in my luggage

3. freakiest- thinking i was going over to a hot chicks apt to get busy, only to find out she was into some wiccan/vampire **** and she had her friends over and I was their "fresh meat" for the night.

4. funny after thinking i was in deep doodoo- a buddy and I went to a new fancy hi-class restaurant opening in SoHo (NYC) because the german girl we just met was doing the chef... its about 4am after the restaurant had closed (but staff was kinda partying) we got bored with it all, found the wine cellar left unlocked, and proceeded to open a bottle, take a slug, and open another bottle. After a dozen or two bottles sampled we grabbed what we could (probably another dozen or so) and hit the back door- which set off the alarm- kitchen staff armed with knives and meat pounders chasing us thru the streets, knowing we had over $2000 in booze not to mention what we had tasted back in the cellar- determined to get to the subway or a cab w/o losing precious fluids (wine or blood), jumping into a cab and watching them pound the windows while we were screaming GO GO GO- what a ****ing night. good to be single!

A few years back, I was car pooling to work with my wife. She was driving and we were behind a ford escape for quite some time. As we were going, we saw a huge dead tree start to fall over into the road. Before I knew it, it had hit the escape right in front of us!!! Before she could fully stop, I jumped out of her honda and ran up to the car. I check the back passenger seat, then the front passenger seat, ran around the front, checked behind the driver to find no one but the female driver! The impact of the tree stopped the ford in it's tracks, blew out all the tires and the roof was inches from where the part of the door where your arm hangs out when the window was down. The woman seemed as if she was sloutched in her seat. I could see her still barely breathing but unresponsive and a stream of blood starting to run down her face. I yelled to my wife to call 911 and that only the driver was in the vehicle. I yelled to her to open her eyes if she could hear me and told her help was on the way! I wanted to help her so badly but I knew that I should not do anything for I could make matters worst. The tree blocked the entire road it was so big. Within minutes the fire department was there. I assisted with cutting the tree and removing it from the vehicle. The police investigators said she was dead on arrival.

I stepped back and thought that I might have been the last voice she heard before she passed on. The tree fell over from behind her and she never saw it coming. She did not break or swerve.

Since then when I see strange things happen, it never surprises me. For that was the most horrific/freak thing I have ever seen happen. My wife and I were the only witness to the accident. I also know that when it is your time, it is your time to go without any choice. Only the lord knows when that will be. So now I cheerish everything I have, everyday!!!

I've never had much scary or freaky stuff happen. Depending on how you look at it, I guess I could be lucky or not.

same with me...ive been really close to some pretty bad wrecks a couple times, but other then that, nothing paranormal or anything like thats ever happened...

the scariest wreck ive ever seen, nothing like keoki04, but, i was coming home one night from a friends place after a bonfire at his pond, it was about 1-2 AM and im going around 55-60 in my YJ that i had then, and in the distance, far enough away that his 2 headlights looked like only one headlight, i could see a car behind me...didnt care, ive seen millions of 'em..lol...but no more then 20 seconds later he was on my *** and not slowing down...he FLEW by me at double my speed, nearly clipping my rear end in the proccess and i remember theres a turn up ahead, not a sharp one, but to sharp when going 110-120 MPH, and sure enought, i enter the turn to see headlights spinning around and his car bouncing off a guard rail and then coasting into the ditch on our side of the road facing me....it was a 2001-03 civic, kinda riced out, and so i turn on my light bar and just kinda sit there in shock for a second..i knew i had to call the police, but first i wanted to call my buddies that i was just with to come over bc i was only 5 min away, bc i wanted to check on the guy to make sure he was ok, but i didnt want to do it unarmed by myself bc if hes driving like that, who knows what else he has up his sleeve, plus i presumed he was drunk..well one of the guys i was with always carrys a 22 rifle, or a 12 gauge in his jeep so i figured if need be, he'd be some help...well, bc of where they were, they didnt have a signal so i couldnt get thru...so i went ahead and called 9-1-1. While i was on the phone with them, this car some how pulls outa the ditch and starts driving the way he was going..i try to follow but he got back up to dangerous speeds somehow and i couldnt keep up...a couple min later, a deputy called me and asked me all the info, and i was on the phone with him for about 15 min...well, he hung up, and about 5 min later he called and said he found the guy

heres where it gets kinda funny.

i went to work the next day and told a lady i work with all about it, and she told me that she knew him..lol..he was her best friends son ...so i ask her what all happened with him, and she told me that a week earlier, he had just gotten his liscence back from a previous DUI and his parents had given him that car and he had around 5000 bucks in mods for it and he had just gotten a house and his bride to be and him were going to move in as soon as his friend and him were done fixing the house up...well, this kinda screwed him over a bit

well, the lady i work with asked her friend how he got caught, since he left the scene, and she goes "oh some ******* in a red jeep called the cops"

and i'd do it again too...i got no sympath for drunk drivers
