WHEN I FIRST GOT MY JEEP:
MOM: "Come outside and look at Ryan's Jeep..." GRANDMA: *just nods* ME: "You don't like it grandma?" GANDMA: "Eh, your grandpa had one of those in the army. Never liked them! At least your's isn't green." ...not stupid, just funny... |

I was at the drag races with one of my friends who was building a drag truck. This guy we were talking to asked me what kind of car I dove. I told him a jeep. "Oh really? have you done anything too it?" "All it has is a three inch body lift and 33 inch tires and the stock 3.07 gears." "Dude that's killer, why aren't you racing?"

i actually forgot about the most incredibly dumb thing i have ever heard a jeeper say to me...well, he SAID he was a jeeper, but im not so sure he ever had one
this happened when i was working the booth for my jeep club at the monster truck nationals 2 weeks ago..he saw our posters, came up and started talking..well, heres what he said, and ill give the cliff notes bc he was telling us BS for over 30 minutes...i swear, i was waiting for my damn ears to start bleeding first off, he said he use to have an older CJ-7, that he, by the way, put a 12,000 dollar lift on out in california, then it caught fire and burnt to the ground...so one of the other club members asked what parts he was able to salvage and he goes "note one part, it burnt completely to the ground"...we all wanted to ask if it was made outa wood or something so then he said he had a scout, said he had the same lift on it and rolled it over 12 times then we got talking about tires and i told him i was going to be needing some new tires for my rubi soon, and said i was going with maybe some SSRs or some BFG M/Ts and he goes "You dont want the BFGs, they are crap" i said, "well i had them on my ZJ when i had that and they did great" then he goes, "dont get them, their sidewalls are to thin....I was wheeling with a guy who had the same size tire as me, was running the same PSI as i was, but had BFGs, and his side wall got pushed up against the rock and the thing just blew right out...then i did it with mine, and all it did was push in on the side wall" i was like, ok, what ever just please leave then another one of the club memebers was there, and he said he was going to be getting a lift for his jeep soon, and this guy told him "Dude, you NEED to go out to such and such california, they have the BEST leaf springs there and they will put them on for only like 600-700 dollars"...then i was like, yea that makes sence to drive all the way out there, then pay them more then half a grand just to install leaf springs when he could do it here with the clubs help if he needed it, and at only the cost of a couple cases of beer then he goes, and after all this of acting like he knows so much about jeep, Yea some time i want to buy another wrangler, probably late 60, early 70's" then i said, "then you wont be getting a wrangler, youll be getting a CJ-5" him-"Well thats what i meant yea" damn he was annoying...our club president came around like 5 times to the booth, and would see that guy was there and walk on by...lol..
