My dad (a Jeeper himself, but used to the old lockout hubs) told me my jeep was in 4x4 because the front driveshaft was turning, and refused to believe that there was a disconnect in the t-case. We then proceeded to have a full blown argument over it. That's why I am getting such bad gas mileage in my case.
Oh yeah, (my parents, both former jeepers CJ5ish era) bought a Wrangler expecting it to get good gas mileage. (Which it turns out, is the Wrangler I now have. I am indeed grateful, before it sounds otherwise ) If you want gas mileage dont drive a jeep.
Also, while getting 30s put on my jeep (31s rubbed, saggy springs) and setting outside watching the guys work (they dont mind) a ricer came up to me and wanted to know was I putting smaller tires and bigger rims on dat thang... NO.

I've had plenty of people ask me that. Also, the "Does the top come off?" comment gets old really fast. When referring to a Wrangler of course.

Yeah, I carpool to work now, and the doors and top are coming off in the spring and summer time. Hope they dont mind!
edit: Its just MORE incentive for them to buckle up.
