What is you favorite kind of music and why?

I used to listen to rap back in the day but now i hate it...........then i listened to heavy metal..........which i still do occasionally..........then i listened to modern rock......which i have to say SUCKS these days......so then i switched to country because they actually play leads and things in their songs unlike the new rock........But i do like punk and classic rock too........So basically i listen to country most of the time........and switch on an off with rock and the occasional punk and/or heavy metal if im in the mood......oh and when the bf plays in his new band i have to listen to blues and 80's rock

For my money it doesn't get much better than when Michael Bolton sings "when a man loves a woman"......

That or hardcore polka.. nothing like a sweet accordian solo to get things fired up....

Anything from The Dead, Phish, any good blues, old skool metal, all the way up to the hardcore. Throw in a little Johnny Cash, & I'm all set.

So when you say country do you mean The good stuff from the early 1900s-1979 or do you mean new country ie. POP music. All the country I have heard recently is just POP with a twang to it.

If you are talking bluegrass and the real deal country from the 50s and 60s then yep country is goood!

I've been rockin out to punk/ska since the days of Op Ivy. That says alot since I am only 22 and Op Ivy ended in '89 I also listen to alot of Classic Rock, The Stones, Floyd, The Doors, etc... Since around here they don't really play punk on the radio, and don't call that stuff they do play punk, cause it's just prepie trendy crap, I listen to good old classic rock.

I listen to all kinds of music, from classical to rap. My main music now though is acoustic music. I love the Dave Matthews Band, along with Howie Day. Throw in some Phish, the Dead. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones is one of the greatest jazz/bluegrass/funk bands around. I love late 60-70's rock. I can even handle Abba everyonce in awhile. I like to check out music from different cultures. Middle Eastern music has a very cool sound to it. I like things that are different

I like music in general, anything with a pleasing sound and rythm, classical, country, rap, whatever its all good. BUT! the dead and phish I never liked.

One or two songs I can deal with, but as far as deep thoughts into their songs and even living anything that remotely resembles that lifestye, I fawkin hate!

I like gansta rap most of the time if its good, I can really relate with my agricultural background and small town atmosphere.

I hate burnout music too - I think that is why many people that like it smoke so much. That way they dont realize how bad it really is. I do like surfing music though - it is way better.

My favorite road music is JDB and deep house. It keeps you and the passangers awake. If I am with the ladies I will play some ambient or pull out some mellow jazz cd's like Sade.

The poll needs more options.
