I have sent a few to relatives. They usually want current magazines, hard candy, baby wipes, and something specific. One wanted a certain gun oil, and the other wanted a thigh holster.

We just did a collection at work for some marines that we're shipping for Valentines Day as we were told that they don't get much for that holiday. During our work Christmas party on Friday we're packaging it all up. Someone that knows one of them personally asked specifically what they wanted and he sent us a list. One of the items on their list that I provided was a nerf football. Besides snacks, they also asked for new pillows and even twin bed sheets.

I also sent them copies of my recent 4x4 magazines (JP, Peterson's, Four Wheeler).

Where is he and what is he doing?
A guy in camp Buehring is going to have totally different wants and needs than a grunt out the Pech river valley (this is assuming he is deployed in a combat zone).
DO NOT send him porn.
DO NOT send him alcohol. No toothpaste tubes full of vodka etc....
