What would you guys do?

Well, I've officially reached the point where I can't make a big decision without the advice of Jeep Forum

So, the other day, as I'm leaving class, this chick (yes, she was hot) handed me a flyer for a medical study. Long story short, I'd be taking an eight day course of an experimental medicine, two doses per day. The medication is supposed to reduce stress hormones (so potential benefit), and it has already been approved for women in Europe and is being sold there. I don't know why it was only approved for women, but the current study is only for males. Supposedly the only side effect reported in Europe is drowsiness. Normally I'd feel like this is too risky, but for the 8 days, with minimal time invested, they are paying $1150. This would also span into finals week, so assuming the drug actually does work to reduce stress, it could actually be a good thing.

On the other hand, it's experimental, and if they have to pay that much money to convince people to participate, that worries me slightly. So, JF... what would you guys do?

That's exactly why I'm thinking about doing it. I figure since it's bonus money that I wasn't expecting, I can be responsible with most of it, and use a little to get some toys like a track bar and some lights.

I am here to help. Tell them that you will do it. Convince them that sex is known to be a stress reliever and that there should be a parallel research activity where you, and said girl, have sex at least daily to show the natural effects of sex on stress relief.

I would do it for the money.

And carefully read what has to be signed as mentioned.

And are there any other possible side-effects at all?

Eh, it's kind of sketchy but...whatever.

I'd donate my eggs for money. They're useless anyways.

Sex as stress relief? Really?

Because every time you finish you always cry and mumble stuff about how inadequate you are...you seem kind of stressed out after...

That's the thing... this is the type of study where they find out what the side effects are, which makes me nervous.

I wish I had eggs to donate. $3-5k per egg is nothing to sneeze at.

Ya I would need it all for school. I got a bill of $3200 for the spring semester due by Jan 8th. I have $1200 that study would get me to a safe spot

The only turn off about the egg thing is some of the stuff you have to go on in order to be able to donate. There are side effects such as mood swings (we all know I have enough of those already .) and weight gain and some other things I don't like as well.

But it is kind of weird not knowing what side effects it actually has...and if it will effect you long term or down the road...

What's the name of the drug? You should check it out really quick and see what people are saying about it.
