What kind of fish is this?

Hey guys I have a random question please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post it. Anyway I went down to key west this weekend and went deep sea fishing and caught this fish but idk what its called it made a great dinner though!

I do believe it's a Dorado/Dolphin/Mahi Mahi. from how I understand it, what people call it depends on where you are

Carassius Auratus Auratus, albeit a different species. What you are holding is in fact a Carassius Auratus Longis Acutis Ridiculum Caput Viridis or Long Sharp Weird Head Green Goldfish.

They are considered a delicacy in places like Singapore and Ethiopia, and are often eaten raw with raw rice and mud sauce.

Mahi Mahi, Dolphin, Dorado would be correct. Any they are good eating.

Oh, and OP. If one of the deck hands wasn't helpful in helping you identify that fish, find a different boat for next time. A quality sea fishing charter would have told you what it was and cleaned it for you.
