I carry a Glock 29 in the summer, a Glock 20 in the winter. 10mm is where it's at for CC.

I shoot them and clean them regularly and have no problems with rust.

exterior rust has nothing to do with shooting, it has to do with humidity, and persperation.
that set aside the XD just plain out has a ****y finish as does kimber I can't comment on Ruger handguns as I have only owned ranch rifles and 10/22's

I've had a 3AT and a PF9 that I started to get some rust with, despite my shooting and cleaning regularly. I had a 26 that got a trace amount where the finish wore through when I'd run with it...and I sweated Niagara Falls the whole time. Other than that, no problems with the rust and the Glocks.

I don't know about the 3AT but I know the PF9 doesn't come with the greatest blueing from the factory. I'm going to duracoat my slide since I carry it with the belt clip.

The 3AT and the .32 are the same as the PF9. IF they finished them like they did my RFB, the price would go up a little, but it would be worth it to the end user. The Duracoat is a good idea. I considered parkerizing and painting mine before I got rid of them, but I never got around to it.

I gues I could add that when I open carry it's 9/10 my gen4 GLOCK 17.
Man the gen4's are sweet!!
I got mine on a "pro shop deal" @ work came straight from the GLOCK distributer that handles the LEO guns, so it came w 3 17rnd mags, factory nights.
for a little more than 4 shipped to my FFL.
I can only do one evry ten yrs or so "I guess" so I waited for the gen4 to go it's second run and grabed one.

i carry a taurus slim 9 concealed or a 40S&W pt24-7 oss ds for open carry - I have a decent collection of other pistols but an earlier poster pretty much hit it on the head about having your gems confiscated while they do ballistics etc
Wasn't sure about taurus when I got the 40S&W - I made my mind up around the 30th K round and got the Slim 9 to "match" it
Other than the Slim 9 misfeeding if you grip it like a 4 year old with hot rounds in it, I've never had a problem out of either of them. And I didn't know the slim was prone to it until a friend of mine shot it with a weak grip and then I was able to intentionally replicate it but it wouldn't do it with my carry ammo and I don't have a light grip so it isn't a concern
Was curious if the Khar or Keltec models of the same profile with the composite lower were prone to that as well (weak grip + hot ammo = misfeed)
When I got it anyway, the only thinner 9mm was the keltec by a smidge
I didn't have a dollar for comparison but I figured two credit cards was worth a dollar :P

it's thinner than a can of dip, barely profiles naked in a front jeans pocket, I usually put a piece of paper in front of it or my credit card holder - prevents any shadowing and makes the draw much smoother - assuming i'm not using my t-shirt holster or an iwb
compared to the 5.25" barrel 40
