What gun do you Conceal carry?
I'm torn between which gun to buy to conceal carry. I just thought I would ask to see what my fellow jeepers carry?? To help make my decision.

I've got a pretty small frame, so I needed something slim. Single stack mag makes it lots less bulky than a subcompact Glock/XD. |

Most often carry gun is HK USP 9mm (Double Action Only) Also I sometimes carry instead of the HK Colt Stainless Officer's ACP .45 Auto,I have Milt Sparks IWB Holsters for each gun,Oh I also have a NAA Mini Revolver for those times that the others are a burden.

Springfield Armory Micro Compact 1911 in .45ACP. perfect balance between size and power. I use the clipdraw, which is like a belt clip attached to the gun. it disapears in board shorts and a tee that is common down here in south florida.

I have the same gun, except mine has a concealed hammer rather than being hammerless. Great gun, easy to conceal.

Ease of concealment - very high. Impact of round - low. Shot placement importance - very high. Shot grouping, rapid fire - very good. I prefer single action automatics, they're what I'm used to. My Colt has proven to be quite accurate within the range at which one might expect to become engaged in hostile fire. However - carrying such a small caliber pistol requires considerable practice; unlike a .40 cal or a .45 there's every chance that a single hit will not be enough to deter an aggressor unless the single hit is incapacitating. The upside is, of course, is invisibility. One can carry the pistol in a front pocket in dress trousers using only a hankie to break up the outline of the pistol. I carry, most of the time, in an Uncle Mike's behind-the-back holster and I carry the pistol hot and locked. I wouldn't recommend this for everyone; however, it works for me. I carried, for awhile, a Firestar .40 cal, loaded with Black Eagle Talons. The impact of the round was far greater than my Colt, and the damage done by the Black Eagles was just short of phenomenal. However the recoil of the pistol was heavy and the weight of the pistol (for me) precluded a small-of-the-back carry. Shot placement was difficult, the recoil tended to throw the second shot off when taken in rapid sequence. I find the smaller pistol works for me in my current situation. I can, quite quickly, empty the pistol into a reasonable shot group. Others mileage will certainly vary.
